Hotel La Perla
Corvara

L'Hotel La Perla de Corvara obté la certificació del Global Sustainable Tourism Council, que estableix un nou estàndard en hospitalitat ecològica i acció climàtica atrevida.

Hotel La Perla in Corvara has reached two key sustainability milestones: earning the prestigious Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) certification and measuring its carbon footprint. These achievements reinforce the hotel’s long-standing commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

For more than 20 years, Hotel La Perla has championed a hospitality approach that prioritizes both people and the environment—long before sustainable tourism became widely recognized. Owner Michil Costa has been a driving force behind this vision. “Being sustainable in an increasingly unsustainable world is not just a priority—it’s a way of life,” he says.

Certificació GSTC

In 2024, Hotel La Perla successfully obtained GSTC certification, the leading global standard for sustainability in tourism. This aligns with the broader sustainability efforts of Alta Badia, a GSTC-certified destination focused on responsible tourism in the Dolomites.

Led by sustainability manager Elide Mussner and supported by General Manager Nicolò Bagna and his team, the hotel implemented improvements in accessibility, energy monitoring, transparent communication, and sustainable purchasing. “Reaching this milestone fills us with joy and motivation,” says Nicolò Bagna. “It strengthens our commitment to raising awareness about our region, the quality of life here, and a more forward-thinking tourism model.”

Carbon Footprint Measurement

As part of the certification process, Hotel La Perla collaborated with the Ökoinstitut in Bolzano to assess its carbon footprint. By the end of 2025, this measurement will extend to the entire Casa Costa 1956 group, which includes Berghotel Ladinia in Corvara, Gran Fodá in San Vigilio di Marebbe (already a Klimahaus-certified property), and La Posta in Bagno Vignoni, Tuscany. This data will guide targeted actions to reduce emissions and enhance sustainability across all properties.

Sustainability is no longer optional—it is essential for businesses seeking to make a lasting impact. Hotel La Perla and the Casa Costa 1956 group remain fully committed to integrating sustainability into every aspect of their operations, contributing to both environmental preservation and the well-being of local communities.
